Executive Chef Darren Pusateri brings a lifetime of culinary passion and diverse experience to Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club. Raised in a restaurant family in Florida, Darren’s love for the kitchen started early and was solidified during culinary school in his senior year of high school. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Resort Management from Lynn University, combining his culinary roots with a deep understanding of hospitality.
After graduating, Darren sharpened his skills under world-renowned Chef Daniel Boulud in New York City, spending three transformative years at the two Michelin-starred restaurant. His journey then brought him west to Colorado, where he played a key role in opening Frasca in Boulder and contributed his talents to some of Denver’s most acclaimed establishments, including Sushi Den, Elway’s, Guard and Grace, and Barcelona Wine Bar. With a global culinary background, Darren specializes in Italian, French, Spanish, Mexican, and Japanese cuisines—always guided by his belief that good food is the cornerstone of a balanced life.
Outside of the kitchen, Darren finds inspiration in the outdoors and family time. He enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Alix, playing golf with his two sons, tending to his garden, and playing guitar. His travels and experiences living in culinary-rich cities like Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Vail, and Aspen continue to influence his approach to cooking, blending tradition with innovation in every dish he creates.
