Presentation:Â 23 Years of Engineer Happenings
Join us for a special Veterans Day presentation featuring Thomas E. Kerscher, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel who served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1961 to 1984.
Commissioned through ROTC from the University of Toledo, Colonel Kerscher served in a variety of engineering and leadership roles, including as a combat engineer company commander on the U.S.–German border, a construction engineer supporting the Saturn V test stands in Mississippi, and during two tours in Vietnam.
His career also included building Fort Polk for the 5th Infantry Division and serving as the facility engineer at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora.
A recipient of the Bronze Star for meritorious service in Vietnam and the Legion of Merit upon retirement, Colonel Kerscher will share stories and experiences from his 23 years of service as an Army engineer.
