GOLDEN EAGLE CLASSIC
Men's Resident-Guest Golf Tournament

The Golden Eagle Classic is the premier golf tournament at HEBGC.
We expect a full field of 72 teams for this event so sign up early.  Registration deadline is July 10, 2018.

New West Entry Vehicle Access Process
This Is In Effect Now
 
Dear Residents of Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club,
          The West entry of the community has undergone a few changes.  This letter is to assist our community in understanding the changes that were made and the reasoning behind them.
          As most of you know the City of Aurora is currently in the process of designing and engineering a stoplight at the Gartrell and East Heritage Parkway intersection.  This stoplight will help ensure the safety of our residents and guests as they cross over Gartrell to either side of the community.  However, this stoplight will also create longer lines of cars trying to enter the West side of the community for Clubhouse access.  To mitigate any backing up of vehicles onto Gartrell road while they wait for the gate to open, a new “Free Access” loop has been installed at the West Entry. 
          The Free Access loop will work as described here:
As a vehicle enters the West entry area to access the Clubhouse they will pass over a vehicle detection loop that will automatically open the gate.  This loop is located closer to Gartrell road and no transponder, key card or access code will be required to open the gate.  The free access loop will run on a timer that will automatically disengage at a predetermined time circumstantial to the Golf Club hours of operation.  Once disengaged the gate will once again require a transponder, key card or access code to be opened.

Blood Drive
As a reminder, here is an excerpt from the May 2018 HEBGC NEWS regarding our canceled June 22 drive; please do not show up on Friday:-)
 
".....here is what we can do to make up for the loss of donations from our canceled HEBGC Community blood drive. For all our donors who are able, we are fortunate to have a whole week of opportunity to donate blood at either the Parker, Highlands Ranch or Lowry Blood Centers because there are 9 weeks between June 22 and our next drive on August 24.  Rather than walking in (you might have to wait), Bonfils recommends that our donors visit bonfils.org or call 303-363-2300 to schedule an appointment to donate either on June 23, 24, 25, 26 (not 27 in Parker; they are closed), 28 or 29; you will then be eligible to donate again at our August 24 drive. The Parker Blood Center is open daily from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (except Wednesdays). Please tell the Bonfils' registration technician that you are donating for HEBGC; we will then receive annual credit for your blood donation which will help us meet our Bonfils' donation goal."

ARCHITECTURAL SUBMITTALS
 
Please be aware as so many Architectural Submittals are coming in now, the Architectural Advisory Committee has 45 days to review your submittal.  If your submittal is complete and easy to read and understand, the committee generally approves within 1-2 weeks.   The submittals are sent electronically to the committee members so providing the proper and clear information allows for them to approve quickly.   Items that assist include completed AAC Submittal forms,  pictures, vendor you are using, samples of color or materials, plot plan, neighbor signatures etc.
 
We have had residents coming in who have already found someone to do work before they have submitted.  As the submittals come in and are handled in order, please be aware to get your approval before trying to being a project.

Looking for a fun volunteer opportunity? Parker Adventist Hospital gift shop is in need of volunteers to help as cashiers, assist with gift recommendations, and provide an ear for those coming into the shop as respite from a visit with loved ones. Our shop serves patients, visitors and associates by providing high quality items and a unique shopping experience. A portion of every sale supports our Healing Arts Program which provides art and therapeutic music and massage to patients. Contact Lois at 303-269-4907 if you’re interested in learning more!
 


Lamp Lighter service is just a phone call away.

There are 13 volunteer residents known as Lamp Lighters who will replace lamp post light bulbs for all residences as well as exterior garage light bulbs for duplexes and town homes. There is no cost for the service and the HOA supplies the bulbs. Please contact the Welcome Desk at 303-693-7788 to request bulb replacement.

Do you want to save some money???

Replace your photo sensor. If your garage and lamp post lights come on before all your neighbors' lights and stay on after all your neighbors' lights are off, your photo sensor probably needs to be replaced. If your lights are on an extra 4 hours a day it is costing you approximately $25 additional per year. Similarly, if none of your lights work after checking the bulbs and circuit breakers, your photo sensor probably needs to be replaced. These are available at the local hardware stores for about $10. If you need assistance replacing a photo sensor, help is available through Friends of HEB by calling 303-680-5946 or 303-681-0880.

How’s Your GFI? - What??

Most homes in HEB are equipped with a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) circuit which protects our post lights (and, for a few homes, post and garage lights) from ground faults. The GFI receptacle is usually just inside the garage door on the same side as the photo sensor. If moisture gets inside the circuit, it can trip the GFI circuit. If you have replaced the bulb in the lamp post and it still doesn’t work, it’s likely the GFI circuit needs to be reset. Remember this can only be done at night after the garage lights have come on.

REALTOR SIGNS
 
Reminder, if you are selling your house, have your realtor call
the Admin Building to find out rules for signs etc.  We only allow
the small metal signs (not the large wooden signs with the arm).  They need to
be placed parallel to the house and up by the house (not down by the street).  Thank you
for following the rules for realtor signs. 


REMINDER REGARDING GOLF CARTS
 
Golf Carts can only be driven by someone with a current Driver’s License.  That means
children should not be driving golf carts.  Every year, we have reports that residents have children
on their lap driving the golf carts or let them drive themselves.  Please keep everyone in the
community safe this year!  Thank you!



It’s RV time!  Remember the rules please.  48 hours only in front of your home.  An additional 48 hours with permit from Welcome Desk can be obtained for parking in the RV section of the clubhouse parking lot.   Your neighbors will appreciate if you follow these rules.  Thank you!



Renting Your Home?

There are many rules and regulations to follow including following the Age Restriction at all times.  Please contact Diane Langley or Wendy Stofa in the HOA Admin Office before considering this so we can make sure we have everything we need and all parties understand this process.  You as the owner are responsible for everything that occurs in the home so you want to be informed.  Thank you!




THINKING OF HAVING A FAMILY MEMBER MOVE IN? 

Before you make this decision, have you thought everything out?  Do they have additional vehicles that you don’t have room for?  Are you gone from your home on vacations etc. and would be leaving them unattended?  Do they have pets that might be an issue?  Will having them in your home be a violation of the Age Restriction?  Many times they aren’t aware of the rules that we follow here and this becomes an issue for everyone.  Just some things to consider.  Thank you!


 New Homeowners and Residents who have moved from one home to another in HEBGC be sure to contact Diane Langley, Assistant Community Manager, at 720-235-1826 to setup your required New Homeowner Orientation.  This is required for our Age Restriction and is a great way for you to learn about your community.

Much information is found on the Member-Only side of the Website.  If you are re-financing or selling, it will be required of your to obtain the HEBGC Community Financials & Guidelines that are on the Member Side.  If you are new to the community, there is a great deal of information there that will be helpful to you.  Don't Wait!  Get logged on today!
