The Village Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 5:30 pm in the Antero Ballroom.
There are three (3) vacancies to fill on the Board.  If you are interested in filling one of the seats, please contact the Admin Building for a Candidate Application at dlangley@heritageeaglebend.com   Candidates can also be nominated from the floor at the meeting.  Please support your Village HOA and join the Board.
Refreshments will be served at this meeting, so come early to sign in and meet other Village homeowners.
Proxies:   Please take the Annual Meeting Proxy to the Welcome Desk and place in the gold box.   When you attend the meeting, you vote your vote; one vote per address.  Proxies help establish Quorum in order to conduct business at the meeting.
Thank you and see you there!

Blood Drive
Our 2nd drive for 2018 is just 1 week away (April 27).  We only have 1 whole blood slot available: 1:20.  Please call me (303-501-7444), [or after April 24, you may also call June Goddard (303-549-9739)] for an appointment, or to be put on the waitlist for any cancelations that will likely occur.  We welcome walk-in donors too!  Please remember to bring your Bonfils Blood Donor card or Drivers License.
Please call us rather than Bonfils if you need to cancel/change your appointment, or, if your prefer to cancel/change your own appointment through Bonfils, please also text or call us about the cancelation or change.  Please do not be a "no-show"!  Need more flexibility on April 27 because something unexpectedly came up, the Bonfils Parker Blood Center is open until 7:00 pm on Fridays.  They take walk-ins, but you will have less wait-time if you make an appointment directly there at 303-361-3550; when you register, please remember to tell them you are donating for HEBGC:-)  There will be a drawing for another lucky donor who will receive a certificate for dinner-for-two at the Eagles Nest!  Many thanks from Bonfils and us for your most generous Gifts of Life!

Lamp Lighter service is just a phone call away.

There are 13 volunteer residents known as Lamp Lighters who will replace lamp post light bulbs for all residences as well as exterior garage light bulbs for duplexes and town homes. There is no cost for the service and the HOA supplies the bulbs. Please contact the Welcome Desk at 303-693-7788 to request bulb replacement.

Do you want to save some money???

Replace your photo sensor. If your garage and lamp post lights come on before all your neighbors' lights and stay on after all your neighbors' lights are off, your photo sensor probably needs to be replaced. If your lights are on an extra 4 hours a day it is costing you approximately $25 additional per year. Similarly, if none of your lights work after checking the bulbs and circuit breakers, your photo sensor probably needs to be replaced. These are available at the local hardware stores for about $10. If you need assistance replacing a photo sensor, help is available through Friends of HEB by calling 303-680-5946 or 303-681-0880.

How’s Your GFI? - What??

Most homes in HEB are equipped with a GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) circuit which protects our post lights (and, for a few homes, post and garage lights) from ground faults. The GFI receptacle is usually just inside the garage door on the same side as the photo sensor. If moisture gets inside the circuit, it can trip the GFI circuit. If you have replaced the bulb in the lamp post and it still doesn’t work, it’s likely the GFI circuit needs to be reset. Remember this can only be done at night after the garage lights have come on.

If you have any questions about Lamplighters or your lights, please contact Jerry Gossner at 303-680-5946.

It’s RV time!  Remember the rules please.  48 hours only in front of your home.  An additional 48 hours with permit from Welcome Desk can be obtained for parking in the RV section of the clubhouse parking lot.   Your neighbors will appreciate if you follow these rules.  Thank you!

Renting Your Home?

There are many rules and regulations to follow including following the Age Restriction at all times.  Please contact Diane Langley or Wendy Stofa in the HOA Admin Office before considering this so we can make sure we have everything we need and all parties understand this process.  You as the owner are responsible for everything that occurs in the home so you want to be informed.  Thank you!

Before you make this decision, have you thought everything out?  Do they have additional vehicles that you don’t have room for?  Are you gone from your home on vacations etc. and would be leaving them unattended?  Do they have pets that might be an issue?  Will having them in your home be a violation of the Age Restriction?  Many times they aren’t aware of the rules that we follow here and this becomes an issue for everyone.  Just some things to consider.  Thank you!

New Homeowners and Residents who have moved from one home to another in HEBGC be sure to contact Diane Langley, Assistant Community Manager, at 720-235-1826 to setup your required New Homeowner Orientation.  This is required for our Age Restriction and is a great way for you to learn about your community.
