2nd Assistant Golf Professional

Overview
HEBGC is looking for an enthusiastic individual with exceptional customer service skills to assist with the day to day activities within the golf operation.  Candidates will maintain a positive interaction with guests and staff and assist the head Golf Professional in conducting golf events.  This is a year round position with 40+ hours, even in the winter months.  Compensation is $12-13/hour depending on qualifications, with full benefits, 401-k opportunities, tournament commissions, lesson revenue, bonus incentives, and golf privleges.  

General Description of Duties

  • Organize and coordinate all ladies leagues
  • Manage all invoices and merchandising
  • Help teach Ladies Clinics
  • Help teach Junior Clinics
  • Assist in Golf Shop Bookkeeping and Accounting Activites.
  • Assist guests checking in for Tee Times
  • Keep Golf Shop and Clothing Displays neat and clean.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Head Golf Professional.

Employment standards and Environment

  • Individuals must be able to work a variety of shifts (opening/closing, etc.)

Line Cook

Overview
Heritage Eagle Bend’s Eagles Nest Restaurant is looking for an experienced line cook. Are you sick of working late? We are looking for a full-time Line Cook to work 11am-8pm. Benefits, paid vacation, paid holidays and 401k.

The ideal candidate we are looking for:

  • Has strong knife skills and strong sauté skills
  • Ability to cook proteins to correct temperature’s without needing to use a thermometer
  • Knowledge of Pakistani, Indian, Afghani, and Moroccan food a plus (not a requirement)

Greens Keepers

Overview
The Greens Keepers, under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, performs work involving, but not limited to, the use of small and large landscape equipment and hand tools used to maintain a beautiful and sustainable golf course and landscapes.

Functions

  • Maintain and mow all types of turf and plant areas.
  • Operates all types of equipment; walk mowers, blowers, trimmers, aerifiers, etc.
  • Rakes and blows leaves, walkways, parking lots, cart storage areas, driveways, etc.
  • Performs basic labor on the golf course and landscapes.
  • Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
  • Cleans any/all equipment used on the golf course grounds.
  • Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or Assistant Superintendent, and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
  • Cooperate with, and respect fellow employees.

  • Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of motorized equipment.
  • Knowledge of golf course, landscape, lawn care operations.

Overview
To assist in the day-to-day operations of the golf course.
Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club is looking for individuals with exceptional customer service skills to fill seasonal part time and full time positions.  
Compensation is $9.30 plus tips and golf privileges.

Duties include:

  • Customer service
  • Daily operations
  • Cleaning carts
  • Picking range balls
  • Starting groups
  • Ensuring the pace of play policy, etc.

Community Irrigation Specialist

Overview

The irrigation specialist, under the supervision of the golf course superintendent or landscape manager, is responsible for, but not limited to, the operation and maintenance of the golf course, clubhouse, and residential irrigation system(s). The irrigation specialist is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality to the superintendent or landscape manager.

Functions

  • Hand waters dry areas needing additional water.
  • Operates irrigation heads in areas needing additional water.
  • Responsible for irrigation repairs and turning on and off of the water for homeowners in the community.
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
  • Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.
  • Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds areas as needed.
  • Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
  • Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Employment standards

  • Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
  • Understanding of agronomy and turf grass science.
  • Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work.
  • Ability to operate light motorized equipment.
  • Ability to lift at least 50ibs
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
  • Maintain a positive interaction with guests and staff
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
