Maintenance Technician
Heritage Eagle Bend Golf Club is now hiring in the engineering department an experienced maintenance technician.
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs concrete block and slab repairs, repairs on carpets, floor tile and stair tread repairs; handrail repairs; Drywall and Fire Resistant Paneling repairs; roofing repairs, caulks and seals to prevent water intrusion; and installs and keys locksets.
Augers drain lines; makes repair to domestic plumbing; makes gate valve repairs and stop valve repairs; solders copper pipe.
Performs minor welding and brazing.
Replaces or rebuilds related pumps in the boiler system.
Installs and calibrates thermostats, solves heating problems associated with zone valves, wiring and transformers, makes repair to air conditioning and swamp cooler/air handler, installs air filters and works on boiler systems.
Change breakers, replace fuses, electrical switches, smoke detectors and repairs a variety of lighting systems.
Performs maintenance, repair and is back-up swimming pool technician during illness or absence of pool technician.
Serves as on-call maintenance man in rotation with other servicemen.
Completes work orders, daily logging of operating equipment performance and other associated paper work in a timely and accurate manner.
Service telephone entry system, to include, testing and repair.
Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ability to work independently and perform basic repairs in a variety of building trades such as carpentry, painting, concrete repair, electricity, plumbing, HVAC, boiler, and structural repairs.
Knowledge of air conditioning and swamp cooler/air handler systems and basic electricity.
The ability to work safely with 115-230 V.A.C., the ability to use proper meters and equipment when working with electrical systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and residents.
Ability to use and care for tools, supplies, and materials required in the work.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to read and write English. Also, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license.
Must have valid automobile insurance.
Must have good driving record.
Must provide own transportation.
 
Education/Experience:
High school diplomas or equivalent.
Three years of experience in building maintenance trade related occupations or equivalent.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must work inside and/or outside and includes being exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, mechanical hazards, electrical hazards, chemical hazards, atmospheric conditions that affect the respiration system, or skin, requirement of wearing a respirator, confined spaces and darkness or poor lighting conditions.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs. Exerting up to 100 pounds force occasionally, and /or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
Must be able to operate power tools effectively and safely.
Must have normal sight and hearing. Corrective lenses and hearing aids are acceptable.
Must be able to do repeat lifting, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling and crawling.
Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Must pass drug-screening tests.

Salary: $18.00 /hour
Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 5:30am to 2:00pm

Clubhouse Porters

Overview
We are looking for part time and full time enthusiastic, energetic, and dependable Clubhouse Porters.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Works with Clubhouse Manager, Social Events Manager, and Banquet Manager on scheduled banquets, activities, and events.
  • Responsible for the room set up and break down of tables, chairs, furniture, and Audio-Visual equipment for banquets, activities, and events (requires lifting to 50 lbs.).
  • Ensures Technical and AV equipment used for scheduled banquets, activities or events is available, set up, and checked prior to start time.
  • Properly stores and secures equipment following a banquet, activity, or event.
  • This position requires individuals who can follow written and oral direction such as room diagrams and someone who is a self-starter and can work alone as well as work with other team members.
  • Hospitality, clubhouse, or hotel experience preferred but not necessary.

  • Starting pay $12 per hour with opportunity for advancement.
Requirements:

  • This is a physical position requires bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting to 50lbs.

Servers/Bartenders/Banquet Staff

Golf Irrigation Specialist

Overview

The Irrigation Specialist, under the supervision of the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, is responsible for, but not limited to, the operation and maintenance of the golf course and community irrigation systems. The Irrigation Specialist is required to report any irregularities in course turf quality and plant quality to the superintendent or assistant superintendent.

Functions

  • Hand waters greens and tees in dry areas needing additional water.
  • Operates irrigation heads in fairways and rough in dry areas needing additional water.
  • Operates irrigation sprinklers in community areas needing additional water
  • Performs irrigation checks on a regular basis
  • Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
  • Completes requests for irrigation and course parts and supplies.
  • Grades and prepares soil base; lays sod; and seeds greens, tees and fairways.
  • Operates dump trucks and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris.
  • Occasionally supervises a small labor force for special projects, and performs other duties as directed by supervisor.

Employment standards

  • Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems.
  • Understanding of agronomy, turf grass science and the rules of golf.
  • Knowledge of tools, methods and materials used in grounds and landscape area maintenance work.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to operate light motorized equipment.
  • Presents a professional image at all times.
  • Ability to lift at least 50ibs
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

 This is a full time permanent position with medical, dental, 401K, paid vacation, golf privileges, and paid uniforms.  $14 - $17 per hour, DOE.


Greens Keepers - Landscapers

Overview
The Greens Keepers/Landscapers, under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, performs work involving, but not limited to, the use of small and large landscape equipment and hand tools used to maintain a beautiful and sustainable golf course and landscapes.

Functions

  • Maintain and mow all types of turf and plant areas.
  • Operates all types of equipment; walk mowers, blowers, trimmers, aerifiers, etc.
  • Rakes and blows leaves, walkways, parking lots, cart storage areas, driveways, etc.
  • Performs basic labor on the golf course and landscapes.
  • Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
  • Cleans any/all equipment used on the golf course grounds.
  • Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the Equipment Manager or Assistant Superintendent, and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
  • Cooperate with, and respect fellow employees.

  • Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of motorized equipment.
  • Knowledge of golf course, landscape, lawn care operations.
  • Presents a professional image at all times.
  • Maintain a positive interaction with guests and staff
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.
